A Duolingo-style, gamified app for learning American Sign Language (ASL). It pairs video lessons with Deaf professionals with quizzes, review and streaks to build a habit, and a blue mascot called Ziggy acts as the coach. It targets the niche of people who want to sign with their loved ones. Released in July 2026.
The onboarding runs about 32 screens. It asks for the user's name, motivation, who they want to sign with (parent, sibling, partner, kid, etc.), that person's name, current level and daily practice time. It shows the goal as a number with "10 minutes a day, you'll know 299 signs in one month", and a "Building signs for your sibling…" loading screen makes the plan feel tailored to that person. Users then actually take their first lesson inside the onboarding: they watch the "Hello" sign video, then go through multiple choice, video choice, phrase completion and matching, ending with "You just learned Hello!". After the results screen come a rating request and a 30-day path preview, "Sign with the people you love.", leading into the paywall.
A single annual plan with a 3-day free trial is shown with a "MOST POPULAR" badge, and other plans are tucked behind a "View all plans" link. Before the paywall, a "How your free trial works" screen lays out the trial timeline: the full path unlocks today, a reminder arrives on day 2 and billing starts on day 3. "No payment due today" and "Free to cancel anytime" are repeated to reduce hesitation. The paywall also shows a 4.8 App Store rating and a review saying it feels like a better version of Duolingo.
