UX Highlights
Onboarding is about 35 screens. After asking for name, birthday and phone number, users talk with the Oracle by voice for a few minutes, and that conversation determines a personality type and a matching Tolan. Users pick its look, voice and name and watch a birth animation before the paywall appears. There's an App Store rating prompt midway, and family invites and a notification request follow the paywall.
Monetization
Tolan Plus (monthly) is pitched across four screens, with a comparison table against the free plan and reviews. Closing it brings up a downsell for the lower tier, Tolan Lite, at 52% off. No free trial. Users can keep chatting for free, but daily chat is capped, and Lite is sold on extra chat time.
